Got milk?

Look what was on our porch when got home from swim lessons?

We were so excited, it was like Christmas! Our very first milk order had arrived! Let's see what is inside..

Milk, eggs, Tully's coffee (yum), half and half...hum, but where is the Yami yogurt I ordered? Oh, Gracie already pulled it out and is opening a carton! Orange and lime yogurt that they say tastes SO good...Okay, this is fun, just like the good old days that I wasn't around to remember, but now can experience for myself...a metal milk box is now on my porch, and I just have to smile because it seems so "vintage-y"! Now if only they'd put their milk inside those cute glass jars...

The milkman still delivers milk in glass bottles in towns here, but for us poor country folk, we have to get stocked up in the supermarket....oh for the good old days when you got fresh milk, bread and meat delivered daily!! XXX

That's so - retro and so great. Worth drinking milk just to have that box. x

How totally cool! Is the milk organic?

That is just too cool! I don't think we have a service like that here. I know there is a dairy farm near by but I don't think they deliver.

Oh wonderful! That's so old fashioned and cool! We really only drink soymilk and I use powdered milk for cooking.

Yes, when I come home from the dentist I have to go lay down and I sleep for several hours! I also have to take a few valium before I go (even though I have a very nice dentist) LOL! All that manipulation is driving me crazy!

Hi
I just discovered you blog from a link over at Tracey's so thought I'd say hello!
We still have a milk man here but dont have anything as fancy as that for him to leave the milk in!
Looking at your earlier posts, I have been living and cooking in a so called temporary kitchen for the last three years so its nice to see someone who is actually making some progress with their kitchen renovations!!

How cool...I wish I had a milkman!!!
Good luck and have fun in that kitchen...I can't wait to see more pictures.

And yes I have seen that girl on the news and even showed Ben and Madi...they are 7 and 9 and thing they are to big to get snatched...NOT! We have walkie talkies...any time Ben goes to his friends house only 4 houses down he has to have that on him. It's works so well...while he is playing and he needs to ask me something or I need to tell him something we use the walkie talkies. He also knows when he is about to leave his friends house he needs to tell me over the walkie so I know he will be walking down the street. So you just go on ahead and walk your little man to the bustop! It's better than not having him to walk to the bustop.
