Favorite Finds on Saturday this time...

Hi you all! Happy Weekend to you! :) I was supposed to do "favorite finds" yesterday, but since I didn't, I thought I'd just do it today instead! Hope you don't mind too much!

Do any of you shop at Costco, if you have it nearby? We do, and although it's not my favorite errand, it ends up saving us a lot of $$$, so it's worth the effort!

And one thing we always buy there is the Krusteaz Muffin Mix they sell...this is just perfect for those times you want to bake something special for breakfast, but are low on time (or energy!). They give different variations on the box that you can make with the basic mix~ double chocolate chip, banana, jelly-in-the-middle, etc. None of them require many other ingredients to make them, and they always come out SO good! :)

My husband likes to make the double chocolate chip kind, but started substituting Quik chocolate milk mix for the cocoa powder they call for. I didn't think they'd turn out okay, but they are even better that way! Who'd ever have guessed? Certainly not me...

And I finally broke down and bought these cute glass jars...all three are different sizes. I just think they are adorable! Then again, I find most all kitchen cannisters irresistable, which is why I have so many, and also why I had a hard time justifying them. But when I was visiting Jen @ her blog Candlelit Cottage, she was showing all they had done to redo their kitchen, and I saw how cute these jars looked in her kitchen... SO,now here they stand in mine! I haven't washed them or anything yet, but just had to show you anyway! :) These will make such great storage spaces for rice, oatmeal and cheese-its! :)

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend! Have any of you been doing any garage-saling? The season has finally kicked off here, and I went to a couple of them today and found a couple of cute things I am fixing up. I will definitely show them to you when I finish! :)

Have a blessed night,

Jennie...........What are cheese-its? I love the jars, I've seen them on a few of the USA blogs and I think they're a really great idea.

Hi Jenni!

I love your new glass canister jars! You could do so many things with them!

I have a membership to Sam's Club and have thought about buying their muffin mix, but always leave without it. Next time I might have to grab a box to try.

As far as cheeze-its in your jar.... I'd have to have a large padlock to keep me from grazing! They are so delicious that I could easily eat the entire container. I can only purchase the single-100-calorie packs.

Hi Jenni,
Your muffins sound yummy! My husband would put chocolate on anything if he could. :o) What a great idea to put the mix in the muffins! Need to try that treat! :o) Your jars are adorable. I see why you like them so much! I am heading over to the blog that you mentioned. :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Ps. We don't have many garage sales (insert sad face). :o)

Cheez-Its (I spelled it wrong on my post) are little square cheese crackers they sell here in the US. They are really yummy and our kids love crackers with their sandwiches! :)

I'll have to look for that mix! We love their pancake mix. I don't believe I've seen it a Kroger but I do have a Costco (just haven't joined). The jars are cute! I have some in my kitchen and I painted the lids red.

Good luck with your tomatoes this year!

We don't have any of the big warehouse stores close by but when we lived in Houston I LOVED to shop at Sams. We also LOVE that Krusteaz brand. All the muffin mixes come out sooooo GOOD!

LOVE your new canister jars. I am looking forward to hitting some of our garage sales soon. We have been so busy I haven't even had time to think about going. Since we are past dance recital and school is almost out I will for SURE be going!

I *love* Costco--we go every week. :) They have the best price on organic milk and so many other things.

We love muffins at our house, so I'll have to look for this. :) I bet the Quik made them much sweeter than cocoa powder because of the added sugar. lol! The jars are cute, too - have a great week~
