The color green...
Soothing, peaceful, blends with everything green.
Green is so... adaptable~ put a few different shades of green together and somehow, instead of clashing, they actually complement each other!
I just love the way the color green looks against white, too...

And I have been thinking that a white kitchen with green accents, minus any other color, would be very lovely, don't you think? Yes, I know I said I was going to use aqua instead of green with red in our kitchen...but it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind (or so I have been told).
And I have been contemplating this, for it would be very easy to do. Painting the half wall above the chair rail/beaded board wouldn't be much of a strain, and it would give the room the clean, crisp white canvas to add touches of green...and don't get me wrong, it would be pretty...
But then I think of my beloved red, and think no, I must have a spot of it here and there. This kitchen likes the vintage look red adds to it.
So I guess this leaves me right back where I started, with a white kitchen with a lot of green and some red accents.
Do you ever go back and forth like this when you are redoing or working on a room in your home?

Heck yeah! I like almost everything and find it very hard to choose. Jenni I love the way you write. I have a dough bowl thing on my dinning room table and really want to get some fake green apples to put in it but when I looked at Hobby Lobby they wre $5 each so I am still looking. I think your touches of red are a MUST! And I do love all the white and green too. Have fun collecting and decorating...it looks beautiful already.
I want to collect some pretty collanders like you have...to organize in the kitchen and craft stuff too. Wouldn't it be pretty to roll up my extra scraps of fabric and have them collected in a red strainer.
The green and red is PRETTY...I still like the aqua idea:)
Blessings,
Linda
I love your kitchen. Period. I love to see all the little vignettes you put together...they are always so charming.
I love green too...Hence why I love Western Washington!
Red is my all time favorite color!
Lovely post!

Yes, we change our minds here too...we haven't even started our remodel and we have changed plans several times...our contractor is gonna LOVE us!
The colors you have chosen are just beautiful!
Thank you for your prayers!
Thank you for popping by and saying hello. You have a lovely blog, I have really enjoyed browsing through it. :) xxxx
Yea! I think green and white look so amazing together! :)
I love the green and red combo. It's so fresh and fun! I think I see why you loved my green room so much! By the way thanks for the house love! I often go back and forth when I'm doing a room too. I think it's that fear of making the wrong choice when in reality, most choices are easy to fix!
I love green with white, and of course you gotta have some red too! YES, I go back and forth big time about what I want. Hope you are having a great weekend!
Hi Jenni!! Thanks so much for checking on me! We just got back from a much needed vacation to Florida. I have also been suffering from a major case of blogger burnout!! Things have been so busy with work and the kids, plus my husband has taken on a new job with a crazy shift. Anyway, that's why I have been MIA. I hope your doing good!! I love all your pictures and your kitchen is looking so cute!! I love all of your colors!! HOpe your having a great weekend!!

Ok for some reason, I had your blog favorited on an old post, so I have been checking to see if you've written, and missed out on like 5 months of posts. I'm going to sit here with my coffee and read them all! Hope you're doing well, pop in and say hi to me sometime, would love to see you! :) --Janene
