DID you know that just ten weeks stand between us and Christmas Day? Gulp. Yes, it was a shock to me to when I was reminded of this. I only have TEN weeks to: finish decorating for Halloween, undo that and decorate for Thanksgiving, and prepare for Christmas?! Yowzy! Now, add this to the fact that we have a major revamping going in on in our kitchen right now, and all of the other projects I have planned, and well, I have been really stressed!
But, I am not nearly as much now, because I joined "The Five Things a Week Challenge" at The Shabby Chic Cottage. The deal? Every week, I will post on my sidebar the five things I plan on completing, and at the end of the week, I will show you what I have done! I will cross off the things on the list as I complete them. This takes a major edge off the stress because there's a plan!
I have finished one thing so far, and am working on two others right now...all are house or decorating projects save one, one of which is a FuN project I have had in the works, an idea from a fellow blogger, that involves turning this sweater~
~into something else entirely! Can you guess what? :) I finished this wrought iron fruit stand I found at a local antique store:
It was in desperate need of a new coat of paint, and I am much happier with it now! :)
SO, do you have a list? One with just a few things on it, or maybe one like mine, with so many things on it you could do five things every week for the rest of your life and still not catch up? If you want to join in on the fun, just make a list on your sidebar, and link up to The Shabby Chic Cottage. She has such a wonderful blog, and it is one of my favorite places to visit! Make sure to check it out! :)
I hope you all had a wonderful Monday, and have a great night! :)

With our New Orleans trip coming up I definitely have a list...or two...or twenty! LOL!
Can't see what magic you work with that sweater.
10 weeks o crap :(
love your new look!
I like the 5 things a week thing. I forgot what you called it. BUT ANYWAY...it's a great idea!
I'm guessing you are turning your red sweater into a bag. I saw this in I think Country Living Magazine. And if that's the case, they are dang cute. As is your fruit basket. Very cute.

I look forward to seeing how the sweater project turns out! I must add I learned a new word tonight and I love it. Whenever I am overwhelmed with my list of to-do's I am going to say, "yowzy" and everytime I say it I am going to think of my sweet sister. ; )
I am already thinking about Christmas projects and decorating, but am trying not to stress and enjoy fall right now. I have a long list and need to prioritize it. I like that idea of 5 things a week. Love that cute basket piece and am interested in what you are going to do with that sweater.
Can't wait to see what you do with sweater!
